Latest Injury News

Saints WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (shoulder) is officially active for Week 11.

Fantasy Impact: Wilson was considered questionable after being limited in practice with a shoulder injury. He should see plenty of targets with the limited options at wide receiver for the Saints.

Jamaal Williams has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Williams will remain sidelined for the Saints. Alvin Kamara should remain the focal point of the offense for New Orleans.

Saints interim coach Darren Rizzi said Chris Olave is not ruled out for the rest of the season. (Source: Erin Summers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It was reported last week that Olave was expected to meet with an independent concussion specialist. He was placed on injured reserve, so he will be forced to miss at least three more games.

Saints CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 10. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: McKinstry was unable to practice in any capacity this week. The Saints' secondary will be shorthanded against a strong Falcons' passing attack Sunday.

Alvin Kamara (hand) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kamara was able to log a full practice session on Wednesday. That's somewhat of a surprise, given that he has been dealing with this hand injury for quite some time now. He should be fully healthy for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Falcons.

Saints QB Derek Carr (oblique) is officially active for Week 9.

Fantasy Impact: Carr was limited in practice, but is making his return after missing three weeks with an oblique injury. His return is a boost to the Saints’ pass catchers in a favorable matchup against Carolina.

The Saints have placed WR Bub Means (ankle) on injured reserve. (Source: Saints on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Means is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and will now miss at least the next four games. Mason Tipton and Marquez Valdes-Scantling should see additional targets with Means sidelined.

The Saints have placed RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) on injured reserve. (Source: Saints on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Miller spent time on injured reserve to start the season due to a hamstring injury. Jordan Mims was signed to the active roster to provide depth behind Alvin Kamara.

Marshon Lattimore has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. (Source: NewOrleansSaints.com)

Fantasy Impact: The Saints secondary will be a little short-handed with both Lattimore and Kool-Aid McKinstry (hamstring) ruled out.

Juwan Johnson (shoulder) logged a full practice session on Thursday. (Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Johnson was able to log a full practice session on Thursday. He was limited on Wednesday, so this is definitely a good sign for his availability for Sunday's game. Still, fantasy managers shouldn't have much confidence in him this week, even with an easy matchup against the Panthers coming up.

Tyrann Mathieu (illness) was back at practice as a full participant on Thursday. (Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Mathieu wasn't able to practice on Wednesday after coming down with an illness of some kind, but he was able to return and practice in full on Thursday. He should be good to go for Week 9 in a favorable matchup against the Panthers.

Taysom Hill (rib) is off of the injury report and is set to make his return in Week 8's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. (Source: Mike Triplett on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hill has been out for a little while thanks to a rib fracture, but he has been removed from the injury report entirely and will play in Sunday's game. He's not expected to be fantasy relevant in a matchup against the Chargers, especially with Derek Carr (oblique) not expected to play for the Saints.

Rashid Shaheed (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2024 season after undergoing a procedure to repair his meniscus. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Shaheed underwent surgery to repair his meniscus on Thursday and is set to miss the remainder of the season while he recovers. He's facing a four-to-six month recovery period, so it's likely that he will be fully ready to go for the 2025 season if all goes to plan with his recovery. This is bad news for New Orleans' offense, as they will now have to look to players like Bub Means, Cedrick Wilson Jr., and Juwan Johnson to step up and play a bigger role in his absence moving forward.

Cesar Ruiz (knee) won't play in Thursday's game against the Denver Broncos. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Ruiz will be sidelined on Thursday thanks to a knee injury that he recently suffered. New Orleans' offense is going to be missing several starters against a tough Denver defense, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect them to be moving the ball as well as usual on Thursday night.

Lucas Patrick was back at Saints practice on Tuesday. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Patrick is working his way back from a chest injury. He'll have a chance to be good to go for Thursday's game against the Broncos with another practice on Wednesday.

Pete Werner was absent from Saints practice on Tuesday. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Werner was one of six players sidelined for New Orleans on Tuesday. He'll likely have to practice on Wednesday in some capacity to have a chance to play on Thurday.

Foster Moreau caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 26-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact: Moreau was pretty quiet on Monday night, but he was able to connect with Derek Carr for a touchdown at one point. He didn't do enough aside from that to have a respectable fantasy total, however, and his involvement will decrease whenever Taysom Hill (ribs) is back in the lineup for the Saints.

Blake Grupe (hip) returned to practice for the Saints on Friday. (Source: Kansas City Chiefs)

Fantasy Impact: It was a bit concerning when Grupe missed Thursday's practice because of a hip injury, but he was able to return to practice in a full capacity on Friday. He should be good to go for Monday night's game and projects to be an okay fantasy option at the position.

A.T. Perry (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice for New Orleans. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Perry was limited at Thursday's practice. He's still battling a hamstring injury that left him sidelined in Week 4, and he has been dealing with injuries for almost the entire season so far. Rashid Shaheed will once again be primed for a huge workload if the young receiver is sidelined for another game on Monday.

Erik McCoy suffered a groin injury that is expected to require surgery that would sideline him about 6-8 weeks. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It is a big blow to the Saints offensive line for the next month and a half or two. It is not considered a season-ending situation.
