Derek Carr is dealing with a shoulder injury and is potentially weighing surgery as an option. His availability for the start of the season is in question. (Source: Ian Rapoport on X)
Fantasy Impact: The news comes as a complete surprise to fantasy managers and the NFL world alike. The Saints were already rumored to take a quarterback in the upcoming draft, with Jaxson Dart a popular candidate. Should confirmation come in that Carr will miss significant time, that rumor may soon become a reality.
Paulson Adebo has reportedly made progress in his recovery after suffering a broken femur. (Source: Paulson Adebo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Adebo posted a video on twitter of him dunking a basketball. He is entering free agency, so it is possible that he has to sign a "prove-it" type of deal coming off his injury.
New Orleans Saints TE Foster Moreau is undergoing further testing on his Week 18 knee injury to see if surgery will be necessary. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Initial reports suggested Moreau would need surgery, but interim head coach Darren Rizzi said on Monday, Jan. 6, that they are still exploring options on his knee. Moreau finished the 2024 season with 32 catches for 413 yards and five touchdowns, nearly posting career-high marks in all three categories. Moreau has one year left on his deal with N.O., with a potential out to exercise this offseason.
Saints TE Juwan Johnson (knee) is officially active for Week 18.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson was considered questionable after being limited in practice this week. He will catch passes from rookie QB Spencer Rattler in the season finale against Tampa Bay.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (groin) is officially inactive for Week 18.
Fantasy Impact: Kamara was considered doubtful to play in the season finale against Tampa Bay after missing each practice session and game since suffering the groin injury in Week 15. The Saints will turn to Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jamaal Williams, and Jordan Mims to lead the backfield Sunday.
Saints WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (chest) practiced in full Thursday. (Source: Buccaneers Communications on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: MVS was able to upgrade his participation level after being limited in practice Wednesday. The veteran will likely suit up against Tampa Bay in Week 18.
Saints WR Chris Olave (head) logged a full practice session Thursday. (Source: Buccaneers Communications on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: Olave has now logged two practice sessions and could return for his first game action since Week 9. The Saints should clear up his status on Friday's final injury report.
Saints RB Kendre Miller (concussion) did not practice Thursday. (Source: Buccaneers Communications on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: Miller and starting RB Alvin Kamara (groin) continue to miss practice time ahead of the season finale. If neither are able to suit up, Jamaal Williams and Jordan Mims will likely lead the backfield against Tampa Bay.
Lucas Patrick has a knee injury and is expected to miss the final two games of the season. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: C Erik McCoy was also banged up with his status being unknown. The Saints offensive line will be short-handed to close the season.
Erik McCoy was able to avoid a major injury to his elbow in Monday's game against the Packers. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The status of McCoy remains unknown for the rest of the season with two games to go.
Bub Means (ankle) was not spotted at practice for the Saints on Friday. (Source: Ross Jackson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The rookie appears to have missed New Orleans' practice on Friday. He was not spotted during the open portion of practice, and he's been dealing with a nagging ankle injury recently. He seems to be at real risk of missing Monday's game against Green Bay.
Tanoh Kpassagnon was a full participant at practice on Wednesday. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The full practice should give Kpassagnon a chance to play this week when the Saints take on the Commanders.
D'Marco Jackson was absent from practice on Wednesday. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Jackson was one of three players sidelined on Wednesday for the Saints alongside Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara.
Taysom Hill (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2024 NFL season with a knee injury he suffered on Sunday. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)
Fantasy Impact: Hill was on his way to yet another solid PPR performance before suffering the injury. Teams relying on Hill at their flex position will need to look elsewhere. This should potentially open up work for Juwan Johnson, as well as Kendre Miller when he returns from IR.
Jamaal Williams (groin) is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. (Source: Luke Johnson on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Williams has been dealing with a groin injury for a while now, but he was able to log a full practice session on Friday and will be questionable heading into the weekend. He may take some work from Alvin Kamara if he's active, but not enough to make him a relevant fantasy option.

Saints WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (shoulder) is officially active for Week 11.
Fantasy Impact: Wilson was considered questionable after being limited in practice with a shoulder injury. He should see plenty of targets with the limited options at wide receiver for the Saints.
Saints CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 10. (Source: Katherine Terrell on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: McKinstry was unable to practice in any capacity this week. The Saints' secondary will be shorthanded against a strong Falcons' passing attack Sunday.
Marshon Lattimore has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. (Source: NewOrleansSaints.com)
Fantasy Impact: The Saints secondary will be a little short-handed with both Lattimore and Kool-Aid McKinstry (hamstring) ruled out.

Tyrann Mathieu (illness) was back at practice as a full participant on Thursday. (Source: Nick Underhill on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Mathieu wasn't able to practice on Wednesday after coming down with an illness of some kind, but he was able to return and practice in full on Thursday. He should be good to go for Week 9 in a favorable matchup against the Panthers.
Rashid Shaheed (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2024 season after undergoing a procedure to repair his meniscus. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Shaheed underwent surgery to repair his meniscus on Thursday and is set to miss the remainder of the season while he recovers. He's facing a four-to-six month recovery period, so it's likely that he will be fully ready to go for the 2025 season if all goes to plan with his recovery. This is bad news for New Orleans' offense, as they will now have to look to players like Bub Means, Cedrick Wilson Jr., and Juwan Johnson to step up and play a bigger role in his absence moving forward.
