Bub Means

The Saints have placed WR Bub Means (ankle) on injured reserve.

Fantasy Impact

Means is dealing with a high-ankle sprain and will now miss at least the next four games. Mason Tipton and Marquez Valdes-Scantling should see additional targets with Means sidelined.

As expected, Means wasn't able to practice on Thursday. He recently suffered a sprained ankle, and the expectation is that he is going to have to miss a bit of time while he recovers. Chances are good that he will miss Week 9, which may lead to more work for Cedrick Wilson Jr. (hip) against the Panthers.

Bub Means (ankle) did not take part in practice on Wednesday.

As expected, Means was a non-participant at practice on Wednesday. He recently suffered a sprained ankle, and the expectation is that he will need to miss a bit of time. Cedrick Wilson Jr. (hip) will be primed for more work this week, assuming Means is unavailable to play.

Means had one catch for 36 yards before he left Sunday's game against the Chargers. He remains off the fantasy radar regardless of his status.

Bub Means caught 3-of-5 targets for 37 yards in Thursday's 33-10 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Impact

Means was a relatively popular pickup off of the waiver wire this week with Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) both out for the Saints, but he didn't deliver on a big performance. He had just three catches over the course of the night, and fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to be a very strong contributor for the foreseeable future.
