Latest Player Updates

Ray-Ray McCloud III reportedly saw first-team reps in Falcons minicamp. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: McCloud was expected to primarily hold a role in special teams, but he also saw first-team reps in camp. He is unlikely to hold much fantasy value unless Drake London or Darnell Mooney miss time, but could be a player to monitor on waivers throughout the season.

Ian Thomas has reportedly “stolen the spotlight” at tight end during Panthers’ OTAs and minicamp. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: Thomas has seemingly taken on a big role at camp despite Carolina drafting Ja’Tavion Sanders in the fourth-round in April. Thomas is unlikely to hold much fantasy value, but it is possible he limits the upside that Sanders possesses from a fantasy perspective. It'll be a battle to monitor throughout training camp.

Trey Sermon is reportedly “the likeliest option” to win the Colts’ backup running back job. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: Sermon appears likely to backup Jonathan Taylor with Zack Moss now in Cincinnati. He'll be a handcuff for Taylor fantasy managers this season.

Braelon Allen reportedly displayed "plenty of ability” as a pass-catcher during Jets OTAs and minicamp. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: Allen did not command a huge role as a pass catcher in college, but it appears he could take on a third down role in the Jets backfield behind Breece Hall. He'll be a late-round flier in fantasy drafts and a handcuff behind Hall.

Jeremy Fowler reports Aidan O’Connell “probably has the slight edge” over Gardner Minshew for the Raiders starting quarterback job. (Source: ESPN.com)

Fantasy Impact: Minshew signed a two-year deal with the Raiders this offseason so he was expected to be the starter, but O'Connell appears to have gotten off to a good start in camp. It'll likely be a battle to monitor all throughout training camp and preseason action.

Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby reportedly “didn’t have the standout offseason program that he had last year.” (Source: Sports Illustrated)

Fantasy Impact: Bigsby had been talked up earlier in camp as a player who could take on a bigger role this season, but it doesn't appear that he did himself any favors early in camp. He'll still have training camp and preseason to prove himself more. Travis Etienne is likely to remain in his workhorse role in the Jaguars backfield.

The Seahawks signed RB Ricky Person Jr. (Source: Aaron Wilson on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The former RB for the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions reportedly chose Seattle over multiple other offers. He ran for 297 yards on 93 carries with six touchdowns this past season in the UFL. He'll look to earn a roster spot in the Seahawks running back room behind Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet.

The Green Bay Packers have claimed kicker James Turner off of the waiver wire. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Turner was recently released by the Detroit Lions, sending him to the waivers. Green Bay brings him in for training camp where he can compete with their incumbent starter from 2023 — Anders Carlson — who was not the most productive leg in the NFL during his rookie season (27/33 FG; 34/39 PAT). Turner went undrafted in 2024 out of Michigan where he was a national champion, and an All-Big Ten second-teamer after a successful kicking year (18/21 FG; 65/66 PAT — career stats of 81.3% FG and 98.4% PAT).

Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis is focusing on his mechanics this offseason, adjusting his base and footwork and working on getting the ball out sooner as he improves his connection with his receiving corps. (Source: Jim Wyatt, TennesseeTitans.com)

Fantasy Impact: Levis has a new level of confidence this offseason as evidenced by Jim Wyatt's article on the Titans' young QB. This is understandable given his safety as the team's QB1 heading into the year. With extra reps and attention in the offseason, he is working on getting things right so his new pass catchers — Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley — can be ready to go in Week 1.

The Patriots and Rhamondre Stevenson agreed to a four-year, $36 million contract extension. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Stevenson had told reporters earlier in camp he was expecting to agree to an extension with New England. The deal includes $17 million of guaranteed money. He figures to remain the lead back in what could be a completely new offense in New England under offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. The big question for his fantasy value will be how much of the third down work Antonio Gibson commands.
