Week 11 Outlook
Availability
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the Buffalo Bills have signed Corey "Philly" Brown on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Since Jordan Matthews is sidelined for at least the next month with a thumb injury, the Bills had a void in an already gruesome wide receiver corps. They filled it with Brown, who spent the offseason with Buffalo, but was a part of the team's final cuts. With Zay Jones and Andre Holmes slated as Buffalo's WR1 and WR2 respectively, the Bills' WR3 spot is up for grabs. Although Brown could eventually emerge in that spot, his role wouldn't be significant enough for him to garner significant fantasy consideration.
Philly Brown signs a one-year deal to join the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Brown joins new coach Sean McDermott in Buffalo while the Bills are in need of depth at WR behind Sammy Watkins. Brown could see some time as Marquise Goodwin and Robert Woods signed elsewhere.
Fantasy Impact
Brown didn't provide much more than depth in Carolina but will get every chance to start opposite Sammy Watkins. Brown isn't much more than a deep league flier in re-draft leagues this season.
Philly Brown hasn't been much of a factor this season but was more involved in Week 15. Brown finished with three receptions for 42 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Brown is clearly playing above Devin Funchess and out-gained Kelvin Benjamin in this contest. This was Brown's best game since Week 4 against the Falcons, where he had 48 yards and a score. Brown still isn't better than a WR5 for Week 16.
Philly Brown hauled in two receptions for 33 yards but fumbled the lateral from WR Kelvin Benjamin at the end of the game to seal the 41-38 loss to the Saints.
Fantasy Impact
Brown isn't on the fantasy radar as the Panthers go into their bye week.
With the Panthers playing from behind and QB Cam Newton suffering a concussion, the Panthers and QB Derek Anderson threw the ball a lot and Brown was a surprise factor in the offense. Brown finished with as many targets as WR Kelvin Benjamin with seven behind only RB Fozy Whittaker and TE Greg Olsen. Brown finished the game with five receptions for 48 yards and a TD.
Fantasy Impact
Brown still isn't a factor in terms of fantasy value even if WR Devin Funchess misses time.
