Daniel Scott
S - Indianapolis Colts - IR
Week 12 Outlook
Availability
The Colts placed Daniel Scott on IR.
Fantasy Impact
Scott is out for the season after tearing his ACL during OTAs. He was a fifth-round draft pick this past April.
Daniel Scott ruptured his Achilles last week during practice and will miss the entirety of the 2024 season. This comes after Scott missed his entire rookie campaign with a torn ACL.
Fantasy Impact
Scott was a fifth-round pick for the Colts in 2023 and came into the league with elite athleticism. Unfortunately, he will now miss his second season in a row and won't see any game action until at least next year. Scott was slated to be a second-stringer on the Colts' defense, so it looks like the Colts will need to seek more depth in their secondary. Currently, Trevor Denbow and Kendell Brooks are the third and fourth stringers in the strong safety slot and are looking at increased roles on the Colts defense.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Indianapolis Colts rookie S Daniel Scott tore his ACL on the last play of OTAs last week and was placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
Fantasy Impact
Scott was a fifth-round pick out of California and a super athletic safety prospect, testing in the 90th percentile of most drills at the 2023 NFL Combine. Scott had reportedly been playing well. The Colts lose some rotational depth at defensive back, and the 24-year-old rookie safety will miss out on his rookie campaign. Rodney Thomas II and Trevor Denbow are now slotted to be the main pieces for Indy at deep safety.
