Dak Prescott needs to make 'significant strides' to play Week 6

by Dan Harris | Cowboys Correspondent | Sun, Oct 9th 8:02am EDT

Although the Cowboys are not ruling out Dak Prescott for Week 6's game against the Eagles, the quarterback is still regaining grip strength and would need to make "significant strides" to be ready to return. (NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Prescott is recovering from a fractured right thumb, for which he underwent surgery on September 12 and was given a four-to-six week timetable. It will be four weeks on Monday, so this shouldn't be considered any sort of setback, but fantasy managers need to adjust their expectations after Prescott said he had originally been targeting Week 5 against the Rams for his return. The Cowboys play the Lions and Bears, both at home, in Weeks 7 and 8, and for now, fantasy managers should expect Prescott to be under center for both of those games absent a setback.
