Joel Bitonio said Saturday he is undecided whether to return next season. (Source: Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Bitonio had previously said he would take some time on if he would play another season or not, and he has still yet to make that decision. There should be a better idea on if he will keep playing or not by the start of free agency.
The Rams have given Matthew Stafford’s agent permission to speak to other teams. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The Rams still hope to keep Stafford, but they are allowing him to speak to other teams. There have been teams linked to Stafford this offseason, including the Giants. The Rams had extension talks with the veteran last offseason, but they ended in Stafford giving up guaranteed money in 2025. This will be a situation to monitor.
James Cook reiterated his request to sign an extension with the Bills. (Source: Around the NFL on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: "I just feel like we're deserving of it. Like, why not? We work all of our life to get paid. Feed me the big bucks," Cook said. "I want to go chase the highest of the highest, and I'm going to keep doing it. I'm going to stand on what I stand on. And I don't want to feel like a cancer at all. Because I don't like all that attention and all that. That's not me, honestly. I'm just standing on business and what I deserve. That's it. What I deserve." Cook is coming off a season where he totaled over 1,200 yards from scrimmage and tied for the league-high of 16 rushing touchdowns. He is heading into his age 26 season.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Vikings are not expected to place the franchise tag on Sam Darnold, but they are open to bringing him back. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Minnesota would have to pay Darnold around $40 million if they place the franchise tag on him, so that is unlikely. While they could still give him another contract, that seems unlikely as of now compared to what offers Darnold may get from other teams in free agency. This will be a situation to monitor heading into free agency as J.J. McCarthy continues to rehab.

Fantasy Impact: Arizona enters free agency with over $76 million available in cap space. The Cardinals took a step forward last season, but fell flat over the second half of the year. They are likely to address their defense in the offseason, particularly on the defensive line looking to improve the pass rush. It is also possible they extend Trey McBride this offseason.

DeMarcus Walker has been released by the Chicago Bears after two years with the team. The move will save them over $5 million in cap space. (Source: Ari Merov on X)
Fantasy Impact: Walker had seven sacks in his two years with the team, not a bad number but not stellar. The 30-year-old will try to find another home where he can get either a long term contract or build up his value.

Gerald Everett has been released by the Chicago Bears after one season with the team. The move will save the Bears over $5 million in cap space. (Source: Ari Merov on X)
Fantasy Impact: Everett was part of the retooling of the Bears' offense in 2024, following former Charger teammate Keenan Allen to the team. However, he never really caught on and caught just eight passes all season. He will look to find a home elsewhere and improve his stock.

Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Darius Slay Jr. said that he "wants to play one more year, for sure." Though he is uncertain if it will be with the Eagles, he said he would like to return, but a reunion with Detroit could be an option as well. (Source: St. Brown Podcast on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Slay's three-year Pro Bowl streak ended in 2024, and he had made six in the previous seven seasons. The veteran CB turned 34 on New Year's Day, but he has still been productive with eight interceptions and 50 passes defended since turning 30 (the last four seasons). He is under contract for 2025 but could be a candidate for an offseason cut or a contract restructure ($13.78 million cap hit in 2025).

The Cincinnati Bengals are releasing DT Sheldon Rankins, clearing $9.6 million in cap space for 2025. (Source: Cincinnati Bengals on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Rankins was brought in after the Bengals parted ways with DJ Reader in free agency, who signed with the Detroit Lions. Hoping to replace his loss, the Bengals gave more money and more guarantees to Rankins. However, he ended the year with just one sack, one tackle for loss, and just six run stops (all career-low marks). He will be a free agent after one season in Cincinnati.

Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio said the team is "always open" to a return from veteran WR Stefon Diggs in 2025, citing a "good relationship" with Diggs and his representation in an interview with SportsRadio 610. (Source: Kevin Patra, NFL.com)
Fantasy Impact: Diggs had a promising season in 2024 before a Week 8 ACL tear ended his campaign. He had 47 catches for 496 yards with four total touchdowns while averaging 7.8 yards per target, up from his 2023 season. He is a free agent in 2025, and his recovery from his injury could certainly impact his market. He was the half-PPR WR13 through the first seven weeks of the season.

He previously spent four seasons in Buffalo to start his career and has played 61 career games (31 starts) with three interceptions and 30 passes defended. Browns LT Dawand Jones underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)

Derrick Henry said earlier this week at the NFL Honors ceremony that he is hopeful of ending his career in Baltimore. "I want to retire a Raven," Henry stated on the red carpet. (Source: Dianna Russini)
Fantasy Impact: Henry is on the downside of 30 years of age, 31 to be exact, but he showed tremendous burst and speed in his first season in Baltimore in 2024. He posted 1,921 rushing yards, which was the second-best of his career, while adding 16 rushing touchdowns. He has hit double-digits in rushing TDs in each of his past seven seasons. His 5.9 yards per rush attempt was the best mark of his NFL career, too. Henry is sure to be a RB1 again in 2025, although fantasy managers will want to have other options at the ready, since he will be 32 next January.
