Maddox is set to hit free agency after spending the first six seasons of his career with the Eagles. He played just four games last year after suffering a a pectoral injury suffered in Week 2. He was released by the Eagles last week.

Maddox, who is 27, has not played since Week 2, missing the majority of the season. Maddox primarily lines up as a slot defender, which has been manned by Bradley Roby and Eli Ricks in his absence. Both have struggled defensively, as has much of Philly's pass coverage, and Maddox could bring new life when he returns to the field.

Maddox underwent an MRI that confirmed that the corner did indeed suffer a torn pec in Thursday’s win over Minnesota. The injury is definitely a blow to the Eagles’ secondary, as it could cause Maddox to miss the remainder of the season.

Maddox is undergoing an MRI Friday morning after leaving Thursday's game early. There should be more information on his injury at some point after he undergoes the MRI.
