The Cardinals placed Sonny Gray on the 15-day IL with right forearm flexor tendinitis.
Fantasy Impact: The season is over for Gray. He posted a 3.84 ERA across 166 1/3 innings this year for the Cardinals.
The Astros placed Tayler Scott on the 15-day IL with thoracic spine sprain.
Fantasy Impact: It is unclear if Scott will be able to return for the postseason. Seth Martinez was recalled as the corresponding move.
Isaac Paredes was scratched from Saturday's lineup against the Nationals with a left wrist contusion.
Fantasy Impact: Paredes will likely undergo further testing. He can be considered as day-to-day.
The Red Sox activated Luis Garcia from the injured list.
Fantasy Impact: Garcia has been sidelined since August 28 with elbow inflammation. He should hold a high leverage role in the bullpen for Boston.
