Fantasy Impact: Riley underwent a CT scan Monday that revealed there was not enough healing in his hand for him to return this season. Gio Urshela will likely remain the primary third baseman for the Braves for the remainder of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Myers has been out of action since the early Summer with a fractured left ankle. He will likely serve in a bench role over the final week of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Gibaut will join the team for the first time this season after working his way back from forearm surgery. He will likely fill a middle relief role over the last week of the season.

Fantasy Impact: Hays will return to the team after missing time with a kidney infection. He is in the starting lineup Tuesday, patrolling left field and batting sixth.

Fantasy Impact: Mountcastle will return to the team for the first time in a month due to a left wrist sprain. He will likely rejoin a platoon with Ryan O'Hearn at first base.


Ketel Marte is expected to play in the final five games of the regular season for the Diamondbacks.

Fantasy Impact: Marte was out of the lineup on Monday as he deals with a left ankle injury. He is still expected to play in the next five games.

The Mariners activated Gregory Santos from the 15-day IL.

Fantasy Impact: Santos will join the Mariners bullpen for the final week of the season as they look to make a late run to sneak into the playoffs.


The Red Sox officially placed Kenley Jansen on the 15-day IL with right shoulder inflammation.

Fantasy Impact: This was the expectation as of Sunday. Jansen will finish the season on the injured list. He is set to enter free agency this offseason.


Jorge Lopez (groin) placed on IL

The Cubs placed Jorge Lopez on the 15-day IL with a strained right groin.

Fantasy Impact: The season is over for Lopez who pitched well with the Mets and Cubs. He is set to enter free agency this offseason.

Fantasy Impact: Palacios returns after being sidelined for the past few weeks. Austin Shenton was optioned as the corresponding move.


Jhony Brito (elbow) placed on IL

The Padres recalled Jhony Brito and placed him on the 60-day IL with a right elbow sprain.

Fantasy Impact: The move opens up a roster spot on the 40-man roster for San Diego. Nick Ahmed had his contract selected from Triple-A as the corresponding move.


Mason McCoy (back) placed on IL

The Padres placed Mason McCoy on the 10-day IL with back inflammation.

Fantasy Impact: McCoy will miss the rest of the regular season. He could return for the postseason barring any setbacks.

Fantasy Impact: Devers underwent an MRI that revealed no structural damage in his left shoulder. He should be fully healthy heading into next season.
