Fantasy Impact: This is a major loss for the Braves, as Jimenez pitched to a 2.62 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP over 69 appearances last season. The Braves will likely look to replace the injured reliever with a free agent option prior to the start of the 2025 season.

Fantasy Impact: Blackburn underwent the surgery earlier in October. He'll aim to be ready for Opening Day, but likely won't be healthy for the start of spring training.


The Cubs announced that Nico Hoerner underwent flexor tendon surgery on his right arm. (Source: Meghan Montemurro on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hoerner underwent the surgery earlier in October. He was still able to post one of the better seasons of his career including playing in a career-high 151 games and should be fully healthy heading into spring training.

Fantasy Impact: Arraez added that he played through the pain. It would explain his struggles in the postseason where he hit just .226 after still hitting .340 in September. Arraez said the procedure went smooth, so he should be fully healthy heading into spring training.


Ian Hamilton left his relief appearance early on Thursday in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Guardians.

Fantasy Impact: Hamilton appeared to suffer a lower body injury. There should be an update on his status when available.


The Guardians removed Alex Cobb from their ALCS roster.

Fantasy Impact: Cobb suffered a back injury during his start in Game 1 against the Yankees. Ben Lively was added as the corresponding move.

Fantasy Impact: Garrett missed most of the second half of the season due to the elbow injury. He should be fully healthy heading into spring training.


Gavin Stone underwent right shoulder surgery and is expected to miss the 2025 season. (Source: Los Angeles Dodgers on X)

Fantasy Impact: Stone landed on the IL in September due to shoulder inflammation but now it was determined he needed surgery to keep him out all next season. The 25-year-old had a 3.53 ERA with 116 strikeouts in 140 innings in 2024.
