Sawchenko allowed two goals in period one and two more in period two, giving the Sharks a four goal deficit, before settling down in the third period when the Sharks made a comeback attempt to make it 4-3 with 1:25 left to play. The goaltender was pulled for the extra attacker and the Avalanche sent the Sharks out to sail by burying an empty-netter to seal the deal 5-3.

Fantasy Impact

Sawchenko stopped 24-of-28 shots-on-goal for an .857 save-percentage and now moves to 1-3-1. There should be no reason to have the goalkeeper in lineups moving forward.
