Ekholm has done little early in the season to provide any substantial fantasy value while operating as more of a stalwart in the defensive zone. The veteran defenseman will not post a large amount of point production as evidenced by his eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 23 games so far this season. Make no mistake however, as Ekholm will make his presence felt in ways that do not show up in the box score for the Predators.
