Mattias Ekholm records assist in season opener

Nashville Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm recorded an assist in Friday's season-opening win over the San Jose Sharks.
Fantasy Impact:
Ekholm's assist was the primary helper of the season's first goal off the stick of teammate Kiefer Sherwood. The two-way defender can provide fantasy value at times, but his peripheral production doesn't make up for his work at the offensive end of the ice.
