Crawford took a leave of absence from the New Jersey Devils citing personal reasons. He signed a two-year deal in October after spending 13-seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks helping them win two Stanley Cup championships (2013-2015).
Fantasy Impact
The Devils are in a stacked East Division this season in the one season realignment. New Jersey will go with Mackenzie Blackwood and newly signed Scott Wedgewood as the goaltending tandem for the foreseeable future. Crawford was a risky fantasy pick in 2021 anyway since he's missed several games the last two seasons with concussion issues. Last season with Chicago he went 16-20-3 with a 2.77 GAA and .913 save percentage in 40 games played.

Fantasy Impact
Crawford did not play well last night. Yet he did what he had to and got the win. He should have Friday off in a cake walk matchup with the Red Wings. Crawford is a must start going forward because he should start every game outside of back-to-backs.
Corey Crawford allowed two goal in the Blackhawks’ 6-2 win over the Ducks on Tuesday. He saved 37-39 shots against in the win. He improved his record to 14-18-3 with a 2.82 GAA and a .916 SV%.

Crawford has now won three in a row. The Blackhawks’ are now looking at an outside chance at making the playoffs. He should be a main stay in lineups going forward especially because it is clear the Blackhawks do not want to see what they have in Malcolm Subban. Crawford was removed for a short time for a possible concussion. He returned and was deemed healthy.
