Sidney Crosby picked up one assist in the Penguins' 3-2 shootout loss to the Panthers Friday night.

Crosby has caught fire once again in the offensive zone of late, tallying points in each of his last six games (five goals, three assists) for the Penguins. The center remains an elite option when on the ice leading the top Pittsburgh forward line for head coach Mike Sullivan, carrying a 1.09 point per game average (27 goals, 22 assists) in 45 games so far this season.
