The Capitals acquired an offensive weapon in the veteran forward. They gave up a third-round draft pick, with Montreal retaining half of Kovalchuk's salary. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
It's not clear yet where the Russian will slot, perhaps the third line. He will not add much defensively.
