Alex Ovechkin had two assists during a 4-2 win versus Vegas. He also fired six shots on goal and delivered six hits in 16:55 minutes of ice time.

Ovechkin now has reached 700 assists in his career. He is also the sixth player in NHL history to score 700 goals and have 700 assists. In two games this season he has three assists but is still looking for his first goal. Last year he played in 79 games scoring 31 goals and delivering 34 assists (65 points).
