Logan Thompson stopped 24-of-26 shots during a 4-2 home win versus Vegas.

Fantasy Impact: It was a nice revenge win for Thompson who played in 46 games last season for Vegas posting a 25-14-5 record. It was the first appearance of the season for Thompson as a Capital after being traded from Vegas on June 29th.

Jakub Vrana scored a first-period goal during a 4-2 win versus Vegas. He scored on his only shot attempt while playing 8:46 minutes.

Fantasy Impact: Vrana played only 21 games last season for St. Louis scoring just two goals and delivering four assists. He played for Washington from 2016 to 2021. After stints with the Blues and Red Wings, he signed a one-year contract with the Capitals in the offseason.

Alex Ovechkin had two assists during a 4-2 win versus Vegas. He also fired six shots on goal and delivered six hits in 16:55 minutes of ice time.

Fantasy Impact: Ovechkin now has reached 700 assists in his career. He is also the sixth player in NHL history to score 700 goals and have 700 assists. In two games this season he has three assists but is still looking for his first goal. Last year he played in 79 games scoring 31 goals and delivering 34 assists (65 points).

Dylan Strome tallied three assists in the Capitals' 7-6 win over the Hurricanes Friday night.

Fantasy Impact: Strome continues a steady stretch in the offensive zone of late, posting points in 12 of his last 17 games (three goals, 19 assists) for the Capitals. The 27-year-old has been one of the more reliable options as part of an inconsistent Washington forward group, recording 57 points (23 goals, 34 assists) in 69 games so far this season.

Charlie Lindgren was stellar in net for the Capitals Saturday, stopping all 18 shots faced to record the shutout in a 3-0 win over the Bruins.

Fantasy Impact: Lindgren has struggled to keep the puck out of the back of the net of late, allowing three or more goals in four of his last five starts (1-3-1) for the Capitals. The netminder will look to replicate his success in the crease Saturday into a return to his strong early-season form, posting a .915 save percentage and 2.58 GAA to go along with three shutouts in 23 appearances (10-7-4) so far this season.

T.J. Oshie posted two points for the Capitals Saturday, scoring one goal and picking up one assist in a 3-0 win over the Bruins.

Fantasy Impact: Oshie has started to make a more consistent impact in the offensive zone of late, notching points in seven of his last 12 games (seven goals, three assists) since returning from injury for the Capitals. The veteran continues to showcase dynamic offensive ability when healthy for fantasy managers, tallying 14 points (nine goals, five assists) to go along with 50 hits in 33 games so far this season.

Darcy Kuemper was peppered in net for the Capitals Thursday night, stopping 37 of 40 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Panthers.

Fantasy Impact: Kuemper continues a dismal stretch in the crease of late, allowing three or more goals in six of his last eight starts (3-4-0) for the Capitals. The veteran netminder has failed to provide fantasy managers with a reliable option when between the pipes to this point, posting a 3.18 GAA and .894 save percentage in 26 appearances (11-12-2) so far this season.

Anthony Mantha was able to light the lamp for the Capitals Thursday night, scoring one goal in a 4-2 loss to the Panthers.

Fantasy Impact: Mantha has not been much of a factor in the offensive zone of late, picking up points in just four of his last 13 games (five goals, one assist) for the Capitals. The winger continues to struggle through inconsistent stretches on the ice despite possessing elite-level potential, recording just 24 points (16 goals, eight assists) in 45 games so far this season.

Evgeny Kuznetsov picked up two assists in the Capitals' 5-4 overtime loss to the Stars Saturday.

Fantasy Impact: Kuznetsov has struggled to make much of an impact in the offensive zone of late, notching points in just three of his last 11 games (four assists) for the Capitals. The center has struggled for much of the season for fantasy managers, recording just 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 43 games so far this season.

Tom Wilson tallied one goal, six SOG, one hits, and two blocks in a loss to Boston Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact: Wilson tallied his 12th goal of the season on a third period PPG. The 29-year-old winger is up to 20 points on the season and had consecutive multi-point games.

Nicklas Backstrom tallied one goal, two SOG, and one block in a 5-2 loss to the Blues Friday.

Fantasy Impact: Backstrom struck on the power play for his fifth goal of the season. The 35-year-old center has 14 points in 27 games this season.

Vitek Vanecek stops 27 of 30 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to Toronto. All three regulation goals were scored at even strength.

Fantasy Impact: Vanecek falls to 20-11-6 with the overtime loss. He blew a two goal lead, and allowed a goal in the final minute that allowed Toronto to tie it and send the game to overtime.
