Rico Dowdle

Predictably so...the Panthers couldn't run on the Bucs. Rico Dowdle and Chubba Hubbard both were held under 30 yards.
Dowdle salvaged some production with four catches for 14 yards (six targets). Led the backfield with a 57% snap share.
And Dowdle did out-touch Hubbard by a sizeable amount (more than 3 touches) for the second straight game (13 vs 7 in Week 16).
Even so, in the last six weeks, Dowdle has not finished higher than RB14 on the week. In fact, Dowdle only has one RB1 finish since Hubbard returned to the lineup in Week 7.
The Panthers RB does have some noteworthy contract incentives: 1,350 yards from scrimmage and 8 TDs are what remains (sitting at 1270 yards and 6 TDs).

Panthers coach Dave Canales called it a “rest day” for Rico Dowdle and is confident he will be ready to go against the Bucs in Week 18.

Fantasy Impact

Dowdle did not practice on Tuesday due to a toe injury. He'll likely be on track to return to practice on Wednesday.
