Rico Dowdle
RB - Dallas Cowboys
Availability
Rico Dowdle was a full participant at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Dowdle was a late addition to the injury report last week before he was ruled out due to an illness. He should return to his lead role in the Cowboys backfield, but it'll likely remain a committee.
Rico Dowdle (illness) is inactive for Week 8 for the Dallas Cowboys against the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Dowdle will sit out the Sunday night contest, opening the door for the recently elevated Dalvin Cook to share backfield touches with veteran Ezekiel Elliott against the 49ers for head coach Mike McCarthy.
Rico Dowdle ran for 25 yards on five carries and caught five of six targets for 30 yards in the Cowboys’ 47-9 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Dowdle led the Dallas backfield in touches, besting Ezekiel Elliot 10-8 in that category. He also led the backfield in yards but got few opportunities to run the ball because the game got away from Dallas so quickly. He’ll look to put up bigger numbers after Dallas comes off of their bye.
Rico Dowdle rushed 20 times for 87 yards and added two receptions for 27 yards in Sunday’s victory at the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Dowdle had his career high in total yardage in Week 5’s victory. Dowdle seems to be widening the gap between him and veteran Ezekiel Elliott, and his usage in Week 6’s game against the Lions will provide more insight into the rest of season rankings. Until we get more information on what this backfield will look like, Dowdle will be a touchdown-dependent low-end RB2/high-end RB3.
Rico Dowdle (wrist) was added to the injury report on Thursday but was still a full participant at practice.
Fantasy Impact
The Cowboys added Dowdle to their injury report on Thursday because of a wrist injury, but it didn't stop him from logging a full practice session. He should be good to go for Week 5's game, and fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much about his new designation.
