Week 13 Outlook
Availability
Baltimore Ravens resigned cornerback Shareece Wright to a three-year contract, according to the team's website. Wright fought hard to earn a spot on the team and came back strong after his shaky start against his former team, the San Francisco 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
During the second half of the season, the Ravens defense gave up the second-fewest yards (291.1) per game. Wright went from giving up 132 yards in his first game as a Raven to giving up 256 yards for the next 10 games. With Lardarius Webb being moved to safety, Wright and Smith as starters can be great at stopping the run or pass. Wright ended the season with 40 tackles, five passes defensed in 11 games.
The 49ers granted DB Shareece Wright his release. They promoted practice squad OL Andrew Tiller to the 53-man roster.
Fantasy Impact
Be careful what you wish for. Wright had requested a release after being inactive all season. He represents another Trent Baalke free agency failure as he couldn't crack one of the worst DB corps in the league after getting a multi-million free agent contract.
Shareece Wright wants to be traded or cut after being inactive for the first three games of the season.
Fantasy Impact
First of all, Shareece Wright was one of the worst cover corners in the league last year. Second of all, he started the preseason as the starter and was gradually phased out. Third of all, he can't crack the active roster when the 49ers CBs play like they don't exist. Wright is likely to get what he wants here, there is no reason for the 49ers to keep him.
CB Shareece Wright is inactive for the 49ers' week three tilt versus the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Wright came in as a free agent and was initially tabbed to be a starter. He has been dreadful in his career and his free agency money is essentially theft. He can't crack a secondary that plays like it's non-existent.
