Nick Williams

Week 16 Outlook
Availability
Nick Williams caught all four of his targets for 40 yards in the Falcons 38-0 blowout loss to the Panthers in Week 14.
Fantasy Impact
Williams has been a helpful slot receiver over the last two weeks, albeit in Falcons' losses. However, he offers no fantasy value in any format.
Nick Williams caught one pass for five yards for a touchdown in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact
Williams' fourth quarter drag was a go-ahead TD that put the Falcon's up 19-16. This was Williams only catch on the day. This will be the high point of his year. He is not roster worthy.
The Redskins released DE Richard Crawford and WR Nick Williams from their practice squad on Tuesday. DL Derrick Hopkins, TE Je'Ron Hamm, and WR Marvin McNutt were signed to the practice squad on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Williams' release from the practice squad is slightly puzzling. The team had said that they loved what he brought to the table and made it clear that he could have made other teams' rosters based on his talent. The team's receiving corps is so stacked that his skills were not needed, but it is very possible he winds up somewhere else in short order.
Redskins WR Nick Williams, a practice favorite of the Shanahan regime, was cut on Saturday as the Redskins trimmed their roster towards the 53 man limit. Williams had a good preseason when given the opportunity to get on the field, but was caught in a logjam of talented receivers.
Fantasy Impact
Williams bears little fantasy relevance at this point.
Joe Theissman talked up talented Redskins rookie receiver Nick Williams during Saturday's game against the Ravens. He compared him to Wes Welker and Danny Amendola, and then said, "He’s that kind of a guy inside. Julian Edelman. You know, the great inside slot receivers, he has those kind of moves and those kind of hands."
Fantasy Impact
Anyone who has watched the fourth quarter of Redskins preseason games knows that Williams can play. Even Theismann acknowledges it and the coaching staff is well aware. It's unfortunate that he will likely get cut just because the Redskins have too much depth at the position already. It would not be shocking to see him practicing with a different team next preseason.
