Williams cut by Redskins

Redskins WR Nick Williams, a practice favorite of the Shanahan regime, was cut on Saturday as the Redskins trimmed their roster towards the 53 man limit. Williams had a good preseason when given the opportunity to get on the field, but was caught in a logjam of talented receivers. (Rich Tandler via Real Redskins)
