2024 Outlook
Availability
Miles Killebrew and the Steelers agreed to terms on a 2-year deal, worth $4 million to keep him in Pittsburgh.
Fantasy Impact
Killebrew has served as a key special teams player in Pittsburgh, as he blocked two punts this season. Pittsburgh keeps a key special teamer, as well as valuable depth in their secondary
Safety Miles Killebrew finished Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with nine tackles, eight of which were solo.
Fantasy Impact
Killebrew was a force to be reckoned with on Sunday. He is someone that offenses must be aware of on every play. He is a DB2 option right now for IDP leagues.
Currently ranked by draft pundit Mike Mayock as the fourth overall safety in the 2016 draft class, small school prospect Miles Killebrew put forth a solid combine outing as he completed 22 reps on the 225lb bench press along with a 38" vertical. At 6'2", 217lbs, he ran a modest 4.65 40-yard dash with a 1.66 10-yard split. He is a hard-nosed safety with a highlight reel of bone-crushing hits. He plays with tremendous energy and is praised for his work ethic.
Fantasy Impact
Miles Killebrew will likely hear his name called on day-two of the 2016 NFL draft. Despite not having elite speed, his instincts are great and the physical edge he brings to the game could intrigue a team enough to jump earlier than expected.
Southern Utah strong safety Miles Killebrew has drawn comparisons to Arizona Cardinals safety Deone Bucannon. At 6'1", 219 lbs, he plays with a vengeance and hammers his way through tackles. If you like big hits, you will greatly enjoy his highlight tapes. But if you watch the full games, you will see that he doesn't read plays quickly enough and needs to improve overall awareness. He could greatly help his draft stock with an eye-popping 40-yard dash and shuttle time.
Fantasy Impact
Killebrew is a traditional thumper safety who could arguably be used much like Deone Bucannon of the Arizona Cardinals. Projected to be taken in the first three rounds, he should make an immediate impact on special teams and push for a starting spot on defense.
