Week 12 Outlook
Availability
Jaguars GM David Caldwell said Tuesday the Jaguars have had "no contact with Blackmon and believe that his 21-month absence from the game makes it unlikely the former first-round pick will play in the NFL again".
Fantasy Impact
Blackmon should be written off as a fantasy option for this year and future years. He has basically blown all opportunities within the NFL.
Justin Blackmon has been arrested in Oklahoma for possession of marijuana. Blackmon is currently serving an indefinite suspension after violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and this latest arrest won’t help him get back on the field anytime soon.
Fantasy Impact
Expect Blackmon to miss the 2014 season for substance abuse. Fellow WR Ace Sanders is already scheduled to miss 4 games due to substance abuse. Cecil Shorts and rookies Marqise Lee and Allen Robinson will get plenty of opportunities to shine for fantasy owners since their first few opponents (Eagles, Redskins, Colts, and Chargers) know how to put up points.
