The 24-year-old WR is a former minor league baseball player who went to Division II West Florida before joining the NFL. His career will unfortunately have to wait until 2024 to get back on the field.
According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys WR David Durden suffered a concussion while completing a diving catch Tuesday. He is expected to miss the team's preseason opener on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Durden went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft after playing a pair of seasons at both Mercer and West Florida. He played a season of minor league baseball after high school as well. Durden tested as a 96th-percentile athlete at WR on his pro day, according to his RAS score. The Cowboys have a fairly deep room at WR, so health and preseason reps will be important for Durden to make the team's roster.
