The Bears report to Bourbonnais on Jul. 29 and he says he knows he has to be an expert at OLB to make the 53-man roster. He also knows the expectations from fans and experts regarding the team aren't very high. “We are going to be ranked low because of last season," he said via Bears Backer. "However, it’s a new year, new beginning, so people can write us off but all that matters is what goes on in our locker room, meeting room and what we take into the game. We believe in ourselves and that’s all that matters.†Bass is a rising player who could emerge as a star at his new position with little set in stone right now a top the Bears' depth chart.
David Bass notched a sack in addition to two tackles on Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings.
