David Bass among Bears' final cuts on Saturday
by Jake Perper | Sat, Sep 5th 2:00pm EDT
Per sources, third-year OLB David Bass has been waived by the Bears. Also, the Bears decided to part ways with QB Zac Dysert, DT Terry Williams, LB's Matthew Wells and Jonathan Anderson, WR's Ify Umodu and A.J. Cruz, TE Gannon Sinclair and OL Michael Ola, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. (Bears Backer)
Fantasy Impact:
The release of Bass has to be the biggest surprise thus far for the Bears outside of Mason Foster on Friday night. Back in July, Bass said he believed playing at his new position, OLB, gave him a "better chance of making the team and be out there come game time" in an exclusive interview with Bears Backer. With plenty of upside, Bass should latch on somewhere else.
