Detroit Lions star DT Alim McNeill suffered a torn ACL on Sunday night in Week 15 that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

While there is never an opportune time for an injury this serious, given the lengthy recovery time for an ACL, this is a big blow for Detroit. Not only will they lose McNeill's production (career-high 15 pressures with 3.5 sacks) for the postseason but likely for chunk of the 2025 season as well. Fortunately for McNeill, he inked a long-term extension with Detroit in Oct. 2024, so he will be with the Lions through 2028.
