Detroit Lions star DT Alim McNeill suffered a torn ACL on Sunday night in Week 15 that will sideline him for the rest of the season. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
While there is never an opportune time for an injury this serious, given the lengthy recovery time for an ACL, this is a big blow for Detroit. Not only will they lose McNeill's production (career-high 15 pressures with 3.5 sacks) for the postseason but likely for chunk of the 2025 season as well. Fortunately for McNeill, he inked a long-term extension with Detroit in Oct. 2024, so he will be with the Lions through 2028.
