Aaron Ripkowski loses key fumble in Packers' loss

On the Packers second drive of the game, while trailing the Falcons 10-0, Aaron Ripkowski rushed through the line nearing the goal line only to fumble and turn the ball back over to the Falcons. Ripkowski finished the game with three carries for 11 yards and two receptions for 28 yards to go along with a two-point conversion run in the Packers 44-21 loss in the NFC Championship game.

Fantasy Impact

Ripkowski's fumble could not have come at a worse time for the Packers as they were trying to keep up with the high-flying Falcons offense. Ripkowski was pushed into a larger role this season with a depleted backfield but will likely return to his role as a blocking fullback next season. He will not be worth fantasy consideration in drafts.

Aaron Ripkowski runs for 24 yards in win over Cowboys

Aaron Ripkowski had four carries for 24 yards in the Packers 34-31 victory over the Cowboys to advance to the NFC Championship game against the Falcons.

Fantasy Impact

Ripkowski had a long run of 20 yards breaking tackles on the Packers' third touchdown drive but gave way to Ty Montgomery at the goal line. Ripkowski will continue to be the primary backup behind Montgomery next week in Atlanta. His is only worth a look as longshot GPP option in DFS if he can score a touchdown.

Aaron Ripkowski converts goal-line carry in Packers' playoff win

Aaron Ripkowski took a handoff from the one-yard line late in the fourth quarter to score a touchdown and cap off the scoring in the Packers 38-13 victory over the Giants. Ripkowski finished with just two carries for one yard and hauled in both of his targets for 11 receiving yards.

Fantasy Impact

Ripkowski had two short-yardage carries in the game. He was unable to convert the first one on a third-and-one in the third quarter but he found paydirt with a goal-line carry in the fourth. With the success Christine Michael had in the second half, Ripkowski only managed four touches in the game. Ripkowski has scored in each of the last two games but should only be considered as a longshot GPP play in DFS where you are hoping for a touchdown to pay off his low salary.

Aaron Ripkowski officially active for Wild Card Game

Aaron Ripkowski is officially active for Green Bay's Wild Round Round matchup with the New York Giants. Ripkowski was added to the injury report with a shoulder injury late in the week and was listed as questionable heading into Sunday's game.

Fantasy Impact

This would not have been fantasy-relevant for most of the season, but Ripkowski has seen his role increase late in the season. In Week 17 against the Detroit Lions, Ripkowski led the team in rushing with 61 yards, and he added 15 yards and a touchdown on two receptions. The Green Back backfield has been a messy committee all year, and Ripkowski's emergence adds yet another back to worry about.

Aaron Ripkowski gains 76 total yards, scores in season finale

Aaron Ripkowski saved his best game for last in the Packers 31-24 win over the Detroit Lions to clinch the NFC North Division title. Ripkowski led the Packers with nine carries for 61 yards and caught both of his targets for 15 receiving yards. He scored the Packers' first touchdown of the game on a short seven-yard reception over the middle.

Fantasy Impact

Ripkowski was the Packers' featured running back in the first half when he had six of his nine carries. He ran hard and powerful racking up yardage in chunks including a long run of 15 yards. Ripkowski finished the season with 150 rushing yards on 34 carries and caught nine passes for 46 yards. He will remain in the mix for carries in the playoffs when the Packers host the Giants.
