George Kittle (groin) not practicing Wednesday

49ers TE George Kittle (groin) will not return to practice today, per Kyle Shanahan. (Nick Wagoner or Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Kittle was ruled out in Week 1 when he was unable to practice due to a groin injury. Now heading into the later portion of the week he still hasn’t practiced. The 49ers struggled against the Bears in Week 1 without Kittle, so it’s likely if he’s able to practice Thursday or Friday the chances of San Francisco playing him in Week 2 will increase drastically. It never appeared that Kittle was close to playing in Week 1, and now with another missed practice in the books there’s a chance this injury is more severe than initially reported. Fantasy managers should look to the waiver wire as they prepare for what could be a second week without the must-start TE.
