Maurice Canady cut by New York Giants

The Giants have terminated their contract with CB Maurice Canady, a one-year minimum deal. (giants.com)

Canady, a former sixth-round pick out of Virginia, was making his fourth stop in the league in six years before being waived by the Giants. Canady has played in 40 games, starting four of them, and has 86 total tackles and one interception in his five seasons, having opted out of the 2020 NFL season due to COVID-19. He will become a free agent again, and he can sign with another team as a depth corner.
