Ryquell Armstead waived by the New York Giants

Former Jacksonville Jaguars RB Ryquell Armstead was waived by the New York Giants on Thursday, per Dan Salomone on Twitter. (Dan Salomone on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Armstead missed the entire 2020 season in Jacksonville on the league's IR/COVID-19 list but was decent as a receiver during his rookie season, catching 14 of 24 targets for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Giants acquired Armstead off waivers last month but opted to drop him back to waivers after just four weeks in New York. Armstead will likely get another opportunity to provide depth for a team, while Devontae Booker remains the obvious RB2 in the Giants offense behind All-Pro RB Saquon Barkley.
