Darwin Thompson 'leaps' Carlos Hyde on depth chart?

Chiefs beat writer Nate Taylor is reporting RB Darwin Thompson "appears to have leaped" Carlos Hyde on the depth chart. (Nate Taylor on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Per reports, Thompson has been getting reps ahead of Hyde at training camp practices, even splitting first-team work with Damien Williams. What's more, the rookie has also looked the part in Kansas City's two preseason outings. If Thompson continues to shine, he is expected to open the news season as the RB2 behind Williams and could eventually return standalone value at times in 2019.
