The New York Jets have fired head coach Robert Saleh after a 2-3 start to the season. DC Jeff Ulbrich will be the interim HC. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)
Fantasy Impact: Amidst a disappointing start to the season, many wondered if OC Nathaniel Hackett could be fired in an attempt to spark the offense. But Saleh getting fired just five weeks into the season is a stunner. NFL teams with Super Bowl aspirations rarely make such a move this early, since doing so essentially admits they were wrong to keep the HC in the first place. But the Jets are all-in on QB Aaron Rodgers, and it seems likely after last week's awkward exchange between Rodgers and Saleh was caught on camera that there is more to the story here. For now, not much changes for New York's offensive playmakers. This is still Hackett's offense being steered by Rodgers. Unless we hear reports about Saleh impacting the direction on offense, there does not appear to be any immediate fantasy impact for the offensive side of the ball.
Devin Singletary (groin) is officially inactive for Week 5 for the New York Giants against the Seattle Seahawks. (Source: Dan Salomone on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Singletary will miss Sunday’s contest, unable to pass through pregame warmups for the Giants. Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Eric Gray will lead the backfield attack against a steady Seattle defense Sunday.
Christian Watson (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 5 for the Green Bay Packers against the Los Angeles Rams. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Watson will not suit up for the Packers, joining Romeo Doubs (suspension) out of the lineup. Dontavion Wicks and Jayden Reed will be the primary options for quarterback Jordan Love in the Green Bay passing attack, with wideout Bo Melton and tight end Tucker Kraft to also receive targets against a middling Rams defense.
Trey McBride (ribs) is officially active for Week 5 for the Arizona Cardinals against the San Francisco 49ers. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: McBride carried a questionable designation into the weekend, but was able to progress enough to suit up for the Week 5 divisional contest. The dynamic tight end should see plenty of involvement against a San Francisco defense that will force quarterback Kyler Murray to get rid of the ball quickly.
The Chiefs are officially placing Rashee Rice (knee) on injured reserve, leaving him sidelined for at least the next four weeks. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Rice suffered a serious knee injury during Week 4's win over the Chargers, and the team is now officially placing him on injured reserve. The team is waiting for additional testing before determining whether or not the injury is season ending, but either way, he is going to be out for the next four weeks at the very least. This is bad news for Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's offense as a whole, but it may open up more opportunities for players like Xavier Worthy and Justin Watson moving forward.
Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks will have to miss Week 5 and potentially more time, due to an infection that developed in his right knee which followed a necessary procedure that Cooks underwent after remaining in Week 4's game after sustaining an injury. (Source: Todd Archer on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Huge blow for the Dallas offense as they will hope to have their speedy receiver return to play soon. Expect WRs Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin and Jalen Brooks to see increased receiving work in the meantime.
Justin Herbert (ankle) is officially active and will start at quarterback in Week 4 for the Los Angeles Chargers against the Kansas City Chiefs. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Herbert was able to progress throughout the week after exiting the team’s Week 3 contest with the ankle injury, passing any remaining obstacles during pregame activities Sunday. The dynamic quarterback will look to keep the Los Angeles offense clicking against an elite Kansas City defense while missing both of his starting offensive tackles Sunday.
Saints WR Chris Olave (hamstring) is officially active for a Week 4 matchup with the Falcons.
Fantasy Impact: Olave was able to test his hamstring injury in pregame warmups and will suit up against the Falcons. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable leave him in their starting lineups.
Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs) is officially active for a Week 4 matchup with the Falcons.
Fantasy Impact: Kamara was originally listed as questionable for Week 4, but will suit up in a divisional matchup with Atlanta. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable starting Kamara in Week 4.
Joe Mixon (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs the Jaguars. (Source: Adam Schefter on X)
Fantasy Impact: Mixon was considered a game-time decision coming into Sunday due to a sprained ankle. While he is feeling better, the Texans will choose to play it safe with their star running back. Cam Akers will take the lead in the Texans' backfield on Sunday.

A.J. Brown (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4 by the Philadelphia Eagles against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Brown will miss a third consecutive contest due to the hamstring injury, joining DeVonta Smith (concussion) sidelined for Sunday’s matchup against the Buccaneers. Superstar running back Saquon Barkley will likely carry the load on offense, while wideout Jahan Dotson and tight end Dallas Goedert remain the primary options in the passing game for quarterback Jalen Hurts Sunday.
Maxx Crosby (ankle) is officially active for Week 3 for the Las Vegas Raiders against the Carolina Panthers. (Source: Las Vegas Raiders on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: Crosby was able to pass through pregame warmups successfully, and will likely have plenty of opportunities to pressure quarterback Andy Dalton against a dismal Carolina offensive line Sunday.
Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has been placed on the injured list according to Mike Garafolo. (Source: Mike Garafolo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Tagovailoa will not be eligible to return until Week 8, but according to head coach Mike McDaniel the team has not established a timetable for the quarterback’s return. Skylar Thompson will remain QB1 for the Dolphins heading into Week 3.
Tests confirmed that Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco has a fractured fibula (calf bone). The severity is yet to be determined, but he will miss significant time in the 2024 season. (Source: Ian Rapoport)
Fantasy Impact: The Chiefs' backfield now belongs to veteran RB Samaje Perine and preseason star Carson Steele. Both are worth a pickup in the Kansas City offense, with the edge going to Perine for his pass-catching abilities. Pacheco should presumably hit IR for those who want to stash him.
Rome Odunze (knee) is officially active for Week 2 for the Chicago Bears against the Houston Texans. (Source: Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Odunze was able to pass through pre-came warmups without any issues, and will now suit up for head coach Matt Eberflus Sunday night. The rookie wideout should have an increased role in the Chicago passing game with fellow wideout Keenan Allen (heel) inactive for the Sunday night matchup against the Texans.
Justin Jefferson (quad) exited the Week 2 contest for the Minnesota Vikings against the San Francisco 49ers and is questionable to return. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Jefferson needed help walking off of the field after suffering the quad injury, hauling in four passes for 133 yards and one touchdown before exiting for the Vikings.
Evan Engram has been ruled out for Week 2 following a hamstring injury suffered in pregame warmups. (Source: Ari Meirov)
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy managers need to get Engram out of their lineups. Backup TE Luke Farrell will see increased opportunity, but the most likely beneficiaries are the WR corps.
Joshua Palmer (knee) is active for Week 2 for the Los Angeles Chargers against the Carolina Panthers. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Palmer cleared pre-game warmups and will take the field for head coach Jim Harbaugh for the Week 2 contest. The explosive wideout should see plenty of involvement in the revamped Los Angeles passing attack against a questionable Carolina defense Sunday.
Jayden Reed (shin/calf) is active for Week 2 for the Green Bay Packers against the Indianapolis Colts. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Reed fought through his ailments throughout the week and was able to clear pre-game activities ahead of the Week 2 contest. The pass-catcher should remain heavily involved in the Green Bay passing attack, although fantasy managers will want to temper expectations with backup QB Malik Willis behind center Sunday.
Josh Downs is officially inactive for the Colts' Week 2 matchup against the Packers.
Fantasy Impact: He was considered 50/50 to play this weekend, and it looks like the team chose to be cautious. As a result, Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin should see a slight uptick in usage.
