Rumors

Reggie Jackson is finalizing a contract buyout with the Charlotte Hornets and plans to sign with the Denver Nuggets after he clears waivers. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Nuggets had a hole at backup point guard after trading Bones Hyland, a role that will be filled by Jackson behind Jamal Murray. He should be a nice veteran piece for Denver's second unit heading into the second half of the season. His fantasy value though will likely be minimal.

The Warriors have until 9:30 PM ET on Sunday to make decision on Gary Payton II’s physical and the fate of a four-team trade with Blazers, Hawks and Pistons. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Golden State continues to evaluate Payton's abdominal injury before they make their choice official. The Warriors could choose to go through with the trade as they save up a ton of money by trading James Wiseman.

The Wizards are working on a contract buyout for Will Barton. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Barton has fell out of the Wizards rotation for the most part after playing a key role for the Nuggets last season. He will likely look to play a bench role for a contender where ever he can land.

Jae Crowder has been granted permission to meet with the Milwaukee Bucks ahead of the NBA's trade deadline. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Crowder hasn't played all year after mutually agreeing to seek a trade with the team, and it now seems like he's one step closer to achieving that goal. The team has granted him permission to speak with the Bucks, and that's a deal that could end up getting done in the future. His future fantasy value depends on if or where he gets traded before the deadline.

Serge Ibaka is going to be on the move. The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that the Bucks are looking to trade the 14-year veteran with Ibaka's approval. (Source: The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact: Ibaka has been away from the team for personal reasons as of late. He last appeared in a game on New Year's Day and has struggled to find consistent minutes in a stacked Bucks lineup. With a trade on the horizon, maybe the big man will land somewhere with minutes available and can provide some fantasy appeal.

Christian Wood will start in place of Dwight Powell for Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. (Source: Callie Caplan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Wood doesn't usually start for the Mavericks, but he sometimes sneaks his way into the starting rotation by coaches choice. That will be the case on Wednesday, as he replaces Dwight Powell, who had an injury designation going into the day. He will see a different role, but his value isn't projected to change that much.

James Wiseman is expected to re-join Golden State's rotation for Friday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. (Source: Anthony Slater on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Wiseman hasn't played for Golden State for some time now after being back and forth between the G-League and Golden State, but he's available and will play on Friday. This comes in the wake of Stephen Curry (shoulder) and Draymond Green (quad) both being out, and the team needs more depth. He likely won't have a prominent role and is a streamer option at best for the time being.

Cade Cunningham (shin) will be out indefinitely for the Pistons as the guard weighs his options of treatment or surgery due to a possible stress fracture. (Source: Shams Charania on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Cunningham’s indefinite absence immediately upgrades rookie guard Jaden Ivey’s fantasy value as well as plugging Killian Hayes into the starting five for the foreseeable future. If Hayes is available, now is the time to pick him up with no clear timetable for Cunningham’s return.

Kevin Durant has reportedly reiterated his trade request to Brooklyn's owner Joe Tsai, making it clear that Tsai needs to "choose between Durant or the pairing of general manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash." (Source: Shams Charania)

Fantasy Impact: This report comes after weeks of silence regarding a potential KD trade out of Brooklyn, and many thought the former MVP would have to spend another season with the Nets. However, it is clear that Durant wants out and he may be putting more pressure on the organization to get a deal done before the season starts. According to Shams Charania, the Celtics, Heat and Raptors remain interested in a trade for the 33-year-old superstar.

According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Boston Celtics F Al Horford is expected to face several workload restrictions during the 2022-23 season. (Source: Jared Weiss of The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact: After a deep playoff run that saw Horford play a grueling 35.4 minutes per game, the team has expressed interest in having the veteran face workload restrictions next season. According to Jared Weiss, Horford, 36, is expected to not play on most back-to-backs, if any this season. With a thin rotation at the forward position, the Celtics will take a cautious approach as they aim to head back to the NBA finals this season. With a minutes restriction, Horford's stock will likely shrink in redraft leagues but his upside in category leagues remains elite as a rebound, shot blocker, and three-point shooter at the PF position.

Once the San Antonio Spurs finalize the expected release on forward Danilo Gallinari, his preference is to join the Boston Celtics upon clearing waivers. (Source: Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It was previously reported that the Celtics, Bulls and Timberwolves all expressed interest in Gallinari. Wherever he lands, the veteran doesn't offer too much fantasy appeal outside of his ability to knock down three-pointers.

Free agent center Thomas Bryant is receiving significant interest from contending teams including Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. (Source: Chris Haynes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: It was reported on Thursday that Bryant was not expected to return to the Wizards. He is expected to make a decision at some point on Friday. Bryant has shown flashes so far in his young career and it is possible signing with a contending team could help him improve even more.

When free agency opens on Thursday, the New York Knicks are expected to present Jalen Brunson a four-year offer in the vicinity of $110 million. (Source: Chris Haynes on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Knicks offseason moves continue to make it seem like they'll be going all in on Brunson from the trades made on draft day to trading Nerlens Noel and Alec Burks on Tuesday to open up more cap space. As we are now just days away from free agency opening up, it sounds like Brunson will be the Knicks next starting point guard barring a last minute change of heart for either side.

Victor Oladipo is reportedly looking for a short-term contract somewhere were he can build his value for a future contract, the Sacramento Kings have been listed as a landing spot. (Source: NBACentral on twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Oladipo seems set to leave the Miami Heat this offseason as he looks to build his value on a short-term contract likely hoping to earn a bigger deal over the next year or so. The Heat guard was looking to do the same thing when he joined the Miami Heat before he was unable to play the majority of the 2022 season. For now managers should temper their expectations with the 30 year old as he is no longer the All-Star he was when he played with the Indiana Pacers and certainly looks to be out of his prime though he may surprise.

According to Indiana Pacers executive Chad Buchanan, the team is not actively searching for trades involving Myles Turner. (Source: Marc Stein on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Turner's name has been floated around in trade rumors for quite some time now, but it looks like Indiana will hold onto him for the time being. The big man averaged 12.9 points and 7.1 rebounds to go along with 2.8 blocks per game in 42 appearances last season. The 26-year-old has proven that he can produce in fantasy with the Pacers, he will just need to stay healthy.

According to Marc Stein, the 76ers signing P.J. Tucker this offseason is growing increasingly likely. (Source: Marc Stein)

Fantasy Impact: Multiple outlets have continued to report that P.J. Tucker and the 76ers are closing in on a deal. Free agency doesn't open until Thursday at 6 PM EDT, but Marc Stein has reported that the deal is nearly set and ready to be signed.

According to Doric Sam of Bleacher Report, Rockest F KJ Martin Jr. is drawing trade interest from the Nets. (Source: Doric Sam)

Fantasy Impact: After requesting a trade just two days prior to the NBA draft, the team has started to gain momentum on a potential trade with Brooklyn for Martin. Last season with the Rockets, the veteran forward averaged 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 79 games.

John Wall and the Houston Rockets are expected to meet this week to talk about a potential trade or buyout ahead of the start of free agency on June 30. (Source: Kelly Iko on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Wall did not play at all last year for the Rockets and picked up his $47.4 million player option for the upcoming season a week ago. Houston will look to trade Wall, but a buyout seems more likely given his contract situation.

Malik Monk could command a multi-year deal worth $10 to $12M annually. (Source: The Athletic NBA on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: “Money is always a part, man, but I don’t think it’s the biggest priority in my free agency this year,” Monk said. He is coming off a season where he averaged just under 14 points per game for the Lakers. It sounds like Monk will have some suitors in free agency this year after signing a veteran minimum deal last offseason.
