Danny Granger drained 1,000th triple on Tuesday

Miami Heat forward Danny Granger recorded his 1,000th three pointer on Tuesday in a start for Luol Deng (calf). He ended the game with 14 points, six rebounds, two dimes, and a steal in 36 minutes of action.

Fantasy Impact

It was a decent showing for Granger, who made his fourth start of the season. Don't count on Granger to continue decent games like this though, even when he starts in place of Deng. Considering all the injuries Granger has suffered throughout his career, his athleticism has mostly depleted. The large minutes tonight are due to Deng's absence and the Heat not having much dept behind Granger at the wing. At this point in his career, he only offers fantasy value as a three-point specialist for very deep leagues when he starts. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Danny Granger started on Wednesday; proved ineffective

Miami Heat forward Danny Granger started in place of the ill Luol Deng on Wednesday, but only finished with three points from a triple (one-for-three shooting), a rebound, a steal, and a block in 20 minutes,

Fantasy Impact

Granger had a nice little run several weeks ago, but has cooled off tremendously. He's not worth owning in fantasy.

Granger has fallen back to earth in 2015

Miami Heat swingman Danny Granger scored three points, five rebounds, and a steal in 22 minutes against the Blazers on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Granger finished 2014 on a high note, but over his first three games in 2015, he has been brutal. In 25.3 minutes per game over those last three, he's averaged 3.7 points (17.6% shooting), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.0 steals.

Danny Granger scores season-high 18 points

Miami Heat SF Danny Granger doubled his prior season-high in scoring on Saturday, by dropping 18 points (seven-of-10 shooting, two-of-five from outside) on the Grizzlies during the Heat's 103-95 loss. In 28 minutes off the bench, Granger also added three rebounds and nothing else.

Fantasy Impact

This is the most Granger has scored in the last 72 games he's played in. He missed 152 games to injuries in that span. Granger looks like he is healthy out there, and while he'll likely never get back to being the dominant shooter and shot-blocker he used to be, he could prove to be a highly useful asset to the Heat off the bench. Keep an eye on him in standard leagues and pick him up in super deep leagues with 16+ teams.

Danny Granger scores season-high nine points

Miami Heat F Danny Granger played for 22 minutes off the bench on Christmas and scored a season-high nine points (four-for-five shooting, one-of-two from outside), seven boards, and one assist in the Heat's win against LeBron James and the Cavaliers.

Fantasy Impact

Danny Granger wlil not have any fantasy value this season, but he is improving for Miami at least. His defense and shooting will be needed from off the bench whenever Chris Bosh is out.
