Micah Johnson having a great spring

Micah Johnson went 1-for-3 with his first spring home run against the Pirates. Johnson had a stolen base, two runs, and one RBI.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson has had a great spring going 8-for-21. He is doing everything in his ability to make the Rays.

Micah Johnson is recalled to the Dodgers

Carl Crawford was placed on the 15-day DL and the Dodgers called up prospect Micah Johnson.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson is not slated to start everyday but could provide some stolen base appeal as he will see pinch hit at-bats against right handed pitchers.

Dodgers acquire Micah Johnson in three-team trade

The Dodgers have acquired Johnson in a three-team deal between the Reds, White Sox and Dodgers. The Dodgers also received Frankie Montas and Trayce Thompson in the deal. The Reds acquired three prospects in the trade, Jose Peraza, Scott Schebler and Brandon Dixon while the White Sox received Todd Frazier.

Fantasy Impact

The speedy Johnson will likely fill a backup infielder role with the Dodgers this season. Last year Johnson played 36 games in the majors with a .230 batting average and three steals in 100 at-bats. Johnson stole 28 bases with the White Sox Triple-A team last season with a .315 batting average. Johnson could have fantasy relevance next season due to his stolen base potential if he can work his way into regular at-bats.

Johnson scores in White Sox winner

Micah Johnson went 1-for-3 in the White Sox 5-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Johnson scored a run in the effort, but also left a runner on base.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson has only batted .250 on the season since taking over the primary second baseman duties. That sadly, is one of the better averages on the White Sox so far. It would still be of worth to keep an eye on Johnson, who could possibly be taking over lead-off duties soon with the continued struggles of Adam Eaton.

Micah Johnson has been cold again

Micah Johnson and the White Sox played in the most eerie setting ever seen in the Major Leagues. With the riots in Baltimore, the Orioles and White Sox played in an empty ballpark. Johnson went 0-for-3 with a strikeout as the White Sox lost 8-2.

Fantasy Impact

The White Sox have had an interesting few days. They had three games suspended for security reasons and then played in an empty ballpark. Johnson has not had a hit over the last two games; going 0-for-6. Johnson has proven to be streaky and cannot be trusted in any fantasy formats at the moment. He has upside potential and has more value in dynasty type leagues.
