Alan Roden was told Sunday he’s on the Blue Jays’ Opening Day roster, per team updates, shining in spring with strong on-base skills. (Source: Keegan Matheson)

Fantasy Impact: Roden’s 2 homers and 6:3 BB:K ratio in 19 Grapefruit League games secure his Blue Jays roster spot Sunday, awaiting 40-man confirmation, with a role TBD. The 25-year-old’s plate discipline stands out. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues should roster him, banking on his on-base ability for semi-regular value in Toronto’s 2025 outfield if he earns consistent time.

The Reds reassigned Wade Miley (elbow) to minor-league camp Sunday, per team updates, as he continues recovering from last June’s elbow surgery. (Source: Cincinnati Reds)

Fantasy Impact: Miley’s first spring outing Tuesday against hitters, post-June elbow surgery, isn’t enough for a big-league return by Opening Day, targeting May on his minor-league deal with the Reds. The 38-year-old progresses slowly. Fantasy managers in deep dynasty leagues should stash him, banking on his veteran arm for a midseason boost to Cincinnati’s 2025 rotation if rehab stays on track.

Fantasy Impact: Barger’s .367/.429/.733 spring line, with 3 homers, 6 RBI, 8 runs, and 1 steal, couldn’t secure a Blue Jays Opening Day spot, landing him in Buffalo Sunday after two years there. The 25-year-old waits. Fantasy managers in dynasty leagues should stash him, banking on his bat for a midseason 2025 call-up to Toronto’s lineup if he keeps raking.

Fantasy Impact: Allen’s 1.89 ERA and 19:4 K:BB in 19 spring innings outshine his 5.73 ERA from 20 starts last year, building on a 3.81 ERA in 2023, earning him the Guardians’ fifth slot. The 26-year-old rebounds. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues should roster him, banking on his spring form for early value in Cleveland’s 2025 rotation.
