Fernando Salas picks up second loss Thursday

Fernando Salas didn't record an out but allowed three earned runs on two hits and a walk.

Fantasy Impact

Salas has been fairly decent out of the Diamondbacks bullpen and he should pickup double digit holds again this season, however his K/9 (5.71) is to low for him to be a must own in holds formats.

Fernando Salas picks up his third win of the season Tuesday

Fernando Salas (3-1) pitched one inning and allowed one run on one hit while striking out one batter Tuesday. Salas picked up his third win of the season.

Fantasy Impact

Salas has pitched really well so far this season and should be able to pick up double-digit holds. However his 6.14 K/9 makes it hard for anyone to pick him up outside of NL-only leagues.

Fernando Salas pitches perfect inning Friday

Fernando Salas pitched one inning of perfect relief Friday and struck out one batter on the night.

Fantasy Impact

Salas is pitching very well so far for the Diamondbacks and has an impressive 93.8% LOB%. Salas recorded 12 holds last season, and we should see about the same this season.

Fernando Salas dealt to Mets

The Mets acquired RH reliever Fernando Salas from the Angels in exchange for minor league RHP Erik Manoah. Salas has a 4.47 ERA and 1.26 WHIP this season with 45 strikeouts in 56 1/3 innings.

Fantasy Impact

The move should help the Mets preserve bullpen arms down the stretch. Salas, however, holds no fantasy value and should be ignored in all formats.

Fernando Salas could be next in line for save opportunities

Following the injury to Cam Bedrosian, Fernando Salas could be the next Angels' RP in line for save opportunities.

Fantasy Impact

Salas has two saves on the season. While his numbers aren't overly impressive, the Angels have few remaining options at this point. Even if he earns a full-time closing role, Salas would be a lesser option considering his production and the team he's pitching for.
