Brandon Nimmo powers Mets past Marlins, 7-3

by Chris Schommer | Mets Correspondent | Sat, Aug 17th 8:42am EDT

Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 in the Mets' 7-3 victory over the Marlins, including a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI.

Fantasy Impact:

This performance, while solid, does little to alleviate concerns about his underwhelming .228 batting average this season. Despite the power display, Nimmo's inconsistency at the plate continues to be a headache for fantasy managers. His ability to drive in runs and score himself is evident, but his high strikeout rate and low batting average limit his appeal in batting average leagues. However, his decent power numbers and ability to get on base via walks keep him relevant in OBP leagues.
