The 2024 NFL regular season is still several away. However, now is the time to start preparing for your redraft leagues. Many factors go into fantasy players winning their redraft league every year. Yet, the top factor is arguably avoiding players that will bust or are overpriced.
Let’s look at six players that are overpriced draft values based on MyFantasyLeague ADP for redraft leagues.

Overvalued Fantasy Football Players: MFL Leagues
Caleb Williams (QB – CHI)
- MFL ADP – QB8
There is plenty to like about Williams, even as a rookie. However, everyone needs to temper their expectations for the top overall pick. He has an outstanding supporting cast, including three talented wide receivers – DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze. Unfortunately, anyone drafting him as the mid-range quarterback is reaching. C.J. Stroud had arguably the top rookie season for a quarterback ever. Yet, Stroud was only the QB9, averaging 18.4 fantasy points per game. While the rookie has significant upside, Williams shouldn’t be a top-eight quarterback drafted.
De’Von Achane (RB – MIA)
- MFL ADP – RB9
The former Texas A&M star was outstanding as a rookie, finishing as the RB4 on a points-per-game basis, averaging 16.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per contest. Furthermore, Achane averaged 7.8 yards per rushing attempt, a 12.6% explosive run rate, and 1.36 fantasy points per opportunity (per Fantasy Points Data). Unfortunately, those numbers aren’t repeatable. More importantly, he struggled to stay healthy as a rookie. After the Dolphins brought back Raheem Mostert and drafted Jaylen Wright, Achane shouldn’t get picked before featured running backs like Derrick Henry and Isiah Pacheco.
Blake Corum (RB – LAR)
- MFL ADP – RB21
While Corum had an outstanding college career, fantasy players shouldn’t draft him as a top-30 running back. The former Michigan star will form a 1-2 punch with Kyren Williams in Los Angeles. The veteran running back has dealt with a foot issue this offseason, pushing Corum up draft boards. However, Williams had the third-highest yards per rushing attempt average (5.02) among running backs with at least 150 attempts last season. Corum has top-10 upside if Williams gets hurt. Yet, drafting him as an RB2 is ridiculous.
Keon Coleman (WR – BUF)
- MFL ADP – WR24
Buffalo made several massive changes at the wide receiver position, swapping out Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis for Curtis Samuel and Coleman. However, the rookie receiver is a polarizing fantasy pick. He never had an 800-yard receiving season in college. Furthermore, the former Florida State receiver struggled to separate. More importantly, Coleman hasn’t shined since joining the team. The Bills didn’t have a top-40 wide receiver in half-point PPR scoring after making Joe Brady the offensive coordinator. Coleman should be a WR4 with upside, not a top-24 guy.
Stefon Diggs (WR – HOU
- MFL ADP – WR25
Unfortunately, I won’t draft Diggs for two reasons in 2024. He has had late-season struggles in back-to-back years. The veteran receiver was the WR47 over the final eight games last season, averaging only 7.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game and 0.41 fantasy points per route run (per Fantasy Points Data). Both averages were lower than Noah Brown’s. Furthermore, Diggs won’t see the 27.5% target share and 28% target per route run rate from 2023 in Houston. His days as a must-start fantasy receiver are in the rearview mirror.
T.J. Hockenson (TE – MIN)
- MFL ADP – TE10
Hockenson’s ADP could drastically change when the Vikings report to training camp. The veteran tight end suffered a torn ACL late last year, putting his Week 1 status in question. Meanwhile, fantasy players should worry about him with questions at the quarterback position with Sam Darnold and J.J. McCarthy under center. Hopefully, Minnesota will have a positive update on Hockenson’s timeline later this month at training camp. Fantasy players should avoid the veteran at his current TE10 ADP until the team provides an optimistic update on his health.
