11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 13)

11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Stashes (Week 13)

It’s Week 13 and we’re met by one last hefty bye week before the final stretch of the season. The Waiver Wire is wafer thin by this point of the season, and it can be tough trying to battle for players you desperately need, particularly if you spent all your FAAB early doors.

This article will take you through some of the players rostered below 50% in Yahoo leagues who might be worth grabbing now rather than bidding against your league-mates mid-week.

11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Stashes

Will Levis (QB – TEN): 20% Rostered

After exploding onto the scene with a 26-point debut, it’s been tough sledding for Levis in his rookie campaign. He has scored less than 13 points in every game since that first one, but with the waiver wire looking so thin, it might be time to give Levis another shot.

Levis has a friendly-looking schedule the rest of the way, including matchups against the Dolphins, Texans, and Seahawks over the next three weeks. With all the QB injuries, it can be nice to lock in a certain starter at the very least.

Desmond Ridder (QB – ATL): 7% Rostered

Ridder is another player who looks to be locked in as the starter for the rest of the season. He returned to the starting lineup with an unimpressive 61% completion rate in Week 12, but easier matchups are on the horizon.

Ridder faces the Jets this weekend, which will by no means be an easy game. He follows with a matchup against the Buccaneers, who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Ridder then faces the Panthers, Colts, and Bears to finish the year.

Roschon Johnson (RB – CHI): 21% Rostered

In Week 12, Johnson played a career-high 74% of snaps with D’Onta Foreman out due to injury and Khalil Herbert seemingly out of favour. The game script was neutral against the Vikings nearly throughout, and the Bears seemed to prefer Johnson, giving the rookie 15 touches. The Bears know what they have in Herbert, and now is the time to evaluate Johnson before the end of the season.

Chase Brown (RB – CIN): 1% Rostered

It’s not often we tout such a low-rostered player in these parts, but count this as a victory for everyone who clicks this article and then heads to Twitter to declare “none of these guys are available in my leagues.” If Brown truly is already rostered, then I bow down to your league.

The reason we’re taking a look at Brown is because the Bengals have made a point of talking him up this week after a spell on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue. Brown is a rookie out of Illinois who rushed for 1643 yards and 10 touchdowns in his final year. He has looked fast and explosive in practices according to Bengals beat reporters. The team is keen to see what they have in Brown before the end of the year.

Elijah Moore (WR – CLE): 42% Rostered

Moore will be reunited with former Jets teammate Joe Flacco for at least one more game. This might breathe some life into Moore’s fantasy production, as he has been largely disappointing this year.

Over Moore’s career, he averages 11.83 PPR points in games with Flacco compared to 7.74 in games without. Flacco’s propensity to check the ball down quickly plays well into Moore’s game. That should be a big part of the Browns gameplan this week.

Curtis Samuel (WR – WAS): 37% Rostered

Despite averaging a full point more per game in PPR leagues, Samuel is still not as highly rostered as Jahan Dotson. Dotson has that shiny, new feel to him, which people prefer to the steady and consistent production of Samuel.

Samuel has outdone Dotson in target share, receptions per game, receiving yards, and yards per target this season. Samuel has only been bested by Dotson in the touchdown category 4 to 2.

Jalen Guyton (WR – LAC): 5% Rostered

We’ve seen enough from Quentin Johnston to know that things aren’t going to suddenly click for him. With HC Brandon Staley feeling the heat, he probably isn’t going to heavily feature the rookie WR any time soon.

Guyton played 79% of snaps in Week 10 and 80% in Week 12, seeing a combined 11 targets in the two games. The Patriots, who the Chargers play this week, rank 23rd against WR2s and 25th in pass defense DVOA. If Guyton has another good week, he might be snatched off waivers before you can add a depth option that we know will be on the field.

Gerald Everett (TE – LAC): 36% Rostered

Speaking of the Chargers, Everett marked his return to the field with his best fantasy performance of the year, finishing as the TE5 in Week 12 against a tough Ravens defense. The Chargers are up against the wall and need pass-catchers to step up right now. With Everett catching all four of his targets last week, he has a level of trust from Justin Herbert that many of the options on this team simply do not possess.

Isaiah Likely (TE – BAL): 38% Rostered

With the Ravens on a bye week, Likely won’t do anything for you this week. However, the Ravens are about to embark on the toughest remaining schedule in the league and will need Likely to produce. The Ravens have TE friendly matchups still to come against the Rams and Jaguars. Both rank among the bottom 10 teams in fantasy points allowed to the position.

Atlanta Falcons D/ST: 45% Rostered

The Falcons defense has scored double-digit fantasy points in three of the last six games. The unit is now looking at a stretch run against the Jets, Buccaneers, Panthers, Colts, and Bears. That seems like a string of error-prone quarterbacks and offenses regardless of how one looks at it.

Denver Broncos D/ST: 40% Rostered

The Broncos defense has scored 57 points in their last four games, never dipping below 11 points as they’ve turned their season around. Despite those games coming against teams like the Chiefs and Bills, the Broncos have shown out well so far.

Next up for the Broncos are the Texans, Chargers, and Lions. After that, Week 16 will bring a matchup against whichever quarterback the Patriots deem to use. The Broncos defense might just be one of the best kept secrets in fantasy football right now.
