Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Zach Ertz (calf) not at practice Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Ertz seemed to be trending in a positive direction after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday. The tight end’s status will definitely be worth monitoring in a decent matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday. Stay tuned for further updates
Allen Lazard misses practice Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Head coach Matt LaFleur has not disclosed the severity of Lazard’s ankle injury. This could be a case of a team being cautious with their top receiver that does not need practice time with their quarterback. The 26-year-old has obvious chemistry with NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and should be good to go if he can log a limited practice Friday. Fantasy managers will want to monitor the situation as Lazard’s status should become clearer Friday.
Christian McCaffrey (shin) is ‘fine’ despite being added to injury report
Christian McCaffrey was added to the injury report on Thursday with a shin injury, but he is “fine” and only suffered a cleat cut, according to HC Matt Rhule. (Source: Ellis L. Williams on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief after likely being terrified when they saw McCaffrey’s name pop up on the injury report. McCaffrey was still going as a Top 3 pick in fantasy drafts this offseason, and some experts have him as their No. 1 overall pick despite the veteran RB playing in just 10 games over the last two seasons combined. He has league-winning upside if he can stay healthy for most of the season, but that “if” is why he is no longer the consensus top pick among fantasy analysts. He appears to be good to go for Week 1 against the Browns, however.
J.K. Dobbins (knee) limited in practice Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Dobbins’ Week 1 status is clearly in doubt, as it was during training camp and preseason. It seems to be trending in the direction that Dobbins will either be out or limited in Week 1. Veterans Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake should see additional touches out of the backfield if Dobbins is unable to suit up.
