Jesper Bratt notched one assist in the Devils' 4-3 loss to the Ducks Friday night.

Vitek Vanecek was strong between the pipes for the Devils Saturday night, stopping 31 of 32 shots faced in a 1-0 overtime loss to the Hurricanes.

Fantasy Impact: Vanecek continues a dismal stretch in net of late, allowing three or more goals in four of his last six starts (2-2-1) for the Devils. The netminder will need to offer more stability in the crease for a New Jersey squad fighting for a return to the postseason, carrying a 3.18 GAA and .890 save percentage in 32 appearances (17-9-3) so far this season.

Dawson Mercer was able to light the lamp for the Devils Tuesday night, scoring one goal in a 5-3 win over the Avalanche.

Fantasy Impact: Mercer continues to fight consistency issues in the offensive zone of late, recording points in four of his last 12 games (two goals, two assists) for the Devils. The center provides mostly reliable two-way play for head coach Lindy Ruff, notching 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) and 15 hits in 48 games so far this season.

Dougie Hamilton was able to light the lamp for the Devils Friday night, scoring one goal in a 5-4 overtime win against the Islanders.

Fantasy Impact: Hamilton has been steady in the offensive zone to begin the season for the Devils, picking up points in all four games to begin the season. The 30-year-old will continue to offer solid offensive output for fantasy managers in need of production from the blueline position.

Fantasy Impact: Tatar will give the Avalanche another inexpensive scoring option as part of a forward group that will be missing captain Gabriel Landeskog (knee) for the second consecutive season. The veteran winger is coming off of a solid 20-goal, 48-point 2022-23 season that saw Tatar lace up his skates for all 82 games with the New Jersey Devils.

Damon Severson picked up one assist Saturday in the Devils' 3-2 loss to the Wild.

Fantasy Impact: Severson has picked up points in three of his last four games for the Devils, posting three assists in that span. The 28-year-old blueliner has made most of his impact for the Devils in the defensive zone this season, scoring just four goals while picking up 13 assists for 17 points in 51 games so far this season.

Erik Haula was able to light the lamp for the Devils Saturday night, scoring one goal in a 5-2 win over the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Haula has turned around his early season struggles of late for the Devils, picking up points in six of his last eight game (one goal, five assists) for the club. The 31-year-old is another depth forward that has played a key role for the Devils to this point, posting 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) in 43 games so far this season.

Yegor Sharangovich recorded two assists Saturday night in the Devils' 5-2 win over the Kings.

Fantasy Impact: Sharangovich has made very little impact in the offensive zone for the Devils of late, picking up points in just four of his last 11 games (two goals, three assists) for the club. The 24-year-old has been a solid depth option on an impressive New Jersey squad to this point, scoring 10 goals and adding 10 assists for 20 points in 43 games so far this season.

Mackenzie Blackwood struggled between the pipes for the Devils Thursday, allowing four goals on just 24 shots faced in a 5-2 loss to the Flyers.

Fantasy Impact: Blackwood will not offer fantasy owners much season-long value, as newly acquired Vitek Vanecek projects as the long-term solution in net for the Devils. The 25-year-old has been unable to replicate his breakout 2019-20 campaign that saw him post a 2.77 GAA while picking up 22 wins in 43 starts between the pipes for the Devils that season. Look elsewhere if in need of goaltending help.

The goalkeeper has been off his game lately, and was taken out midway through the second period after surrendering five goals on 20 shots for a .750 save-percentage.

Fantasy Impact: The 21-year-old has just two wins and has given up 26 goals in his last seven appearances dating back to March 15th. Daws moves to 8-9-0 with an .894 save-percentage to go with a 3.27 goals-against-average.

Devils defenseman P.K. Subban had a strong game tonight, finishing with two points, two shots, two blocks, and a hit.

Fantasy Impact: Subban was considered a potential trade piece at the deadline, but remained with New Jersey. He now has 21 points this season, but should not be considered for roster status in fantasy at this time.

There was plenty of scoring to go around in this one, as 13 goals were scored between the two clubs. Two Blackhawk empty-netters helped seal the deal, and the Devils went on to lose 8-5.

Fantasy Impact: Gillies stopped 29-of-35 shots for an .829 save-percentage. The loss drops him to 3-9-1 and brings his goals-against-average to 3.77.

Pavel Zacha collected his 11th assist of the season in a 4-2 loss to Pittsburgh.

Fantasy Impact: Zacha has 23 points in 46 games this season, and a three game point streak. He is likely best left on waivers for now.

Michael McLeod scored early in the first period and again at the very end of the second period during New Jersey's 7-1 win over Montreal.

Fantasy Impact: McLeod's two goals bring him up to five on the year to go along with eight assists. The 24-year-old is in line for increased opportunities while Jack Hughes remains in Covid-19 protocols. For fantasy managers needing a filler, he could fill the role temporarily.
