Taro Hirose scored the lone Red Wings goal in their 5-1 loss to the Devils on Saturday. He had one goal on one SOG in 13:27 of ice-time.
Fantasy Impact
Hirose is not a fantasy asset at this point in his career. He is getting power-play time so as he matures, he could become a fantasy asset but the 2019-2020 season he needs to be kept on waivers.
Taro Hirose scored a goal in the Red Wings 4-3 shootout loss to the Sharks on Saturday. He had one goal on one SOG in 9:59 of ice-time.
Fantasy Impact
Hirose did see a little bit over a minute of power-play time in this one. He still is not worth owning. He currently has one goal and five assists thru 18 games played.
Red Wings beat writer Ansar Khan believes Taro Hirose has the "inside track" to making the Red Wings roster this fall.
Fantasy Impact
Hirose had seven points in 10 games with the Wings, and has earned high praise from presumed Red Wings captain-to-be Dylan Larkin, who said he thinks Hirose is a dark-horse candidate for rookie of the year. If Hirose can indeed crack the squad, look for him to play on the Wings 2nd line with Andreas Athanasiou, which could in turn lead to fantasy relevance. For now though he is no better than a last-round flyer in your draft.
