Sean Couturier (lower body) has been ruled out by the Philadelphia Flyers ahead of Saturday night’s contest against the Los Angeles Kings.

However, he has stopped skating and the club is not expecting him back anytime soon. The Flyers are off to a surprising 4-2-0 start to the season without him, but they'd surely like to have back an elite two-way player that posted 18 goals and 41 points across 45 games a season ago.

This is a breath of fresh air considering initial reports suggested the Flyers' top center could miss the entire 2022-23 season. However, the lack of a firm timeline should put Couturier on the fantasy backburner for the time being.

The Flyers center "...has had good days and bad days.." according to coach Mike Yeo. He is not expected to be back in the Flyers lineup this week.
