The 32-year-old netminder has been solid for most of the season operating behind No. 1 goaltender Alexandar Georgiev, posting a .919 save percentage and 2.57 GAA in 11 starts (5-6-0) in net so far this season.
Colorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz will start Friday's home game versus the Seattle Kraken.
Fantasy Impact
It appears Francouz is on the wrong end of a timeshare in the Avalanche crease behind Alexandar Georgiev as Friday marks his second start of the season to Georgiev's three. Francouz didn't help his cause by allowing five goals on 27 shots in his only start this season, but Georgiev hasn't been much better with a 3.00 GAA and .893 Sv% himself. That said, Friday presents an excellent opportunity for Francouz to right the ship against a Kraken offense that ranked 24th a season ago.
Pavel Francouz was on the losing end of Friday's bout with the Minnesota Wild as they were defeated 4-1. He saved 18 of the 21 shots he faced for an .857 save percentage.
Fantasy Impact
It was a relatively slow night in the shot department but wasn't able to hold off the Wild. The first goal was by Jordan Greenway and was a not-so-hard wrist shot that snuck through the short side. Colorado didn't provide much help for him so they'll end the regular season with a loss. Francouz has faired very well as Darcy Kuemper's back up, reaching a 15-4-0-1 record with a 2.52 GAA and .918 save percentage.
